Brief Summary
|
Velocity-based training (VBT) gives real-time feedback on bar speed or velocity during
resistance training activities, it is crucial in the field of strength and conditioning. Coaches and
athletes can modify training loads dynamically based on individual performance on any given
day thanks to this instant feedback, which results in more individualized and efficient training
regimens. Velocity-based training, which will be around 4 weeks long and will consist of 12
supervised sessions (3 Sessions per week). The ideal dose for the intervention will include 3 sets of squats and jump squat
will be performed within the velocity zone determined. Each session will be individualized based on the athlete’s Training Status and each session
will be about 1 hour long The control group, French contrast training will also be around 4 weeks long and will consist of 12 supervised sessions (3 Sessions
per week). For French
contrast training, consecutive exercise of back squat, CMJ (countermovement jump), trap bar jumps,
band assisted jumps. Each session will be individualized based on the athlete’s Training Status and each session will be about 1 hour long |
