Brief Summary
|
The aim of the study is to measure financial skills and financial well-being in individuals with severe mental illness and find relationship between financial skills and financial well-being. Need for the study is Individuals with mental illness have difficulties in managing their finances and financial skills is vital for financial management and financial well-being. The socio-economic background of individuals from developed countries differs from developing countries like India. Welfare systems and social security policies for security funds differ from country to country, where developed countries have well established policies for disabled in comparison to developing countries like India. In absence of utility of such schemes, financial skills and management at individual level become more imperative. Tools used in the study, Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) as a screening tool and two scales, Financial Well-being scale and Financial Skills scale questionnaire is to be administered. Procedure: The scales will be adapted to Indian context and validation will be done. Then MoCA will be administered to screen any significant cognitive deficits, if the client fits the inclusion criteria Informed consent will be obtained and photocopies of the two scales will be provided. |
