Brief Summary

Aim of this study is to compare effect of Argyreia Speciosa gel, Curcumin gel, Triphala gel and Non –eugenol periodontal dressing on wound healing and pain following periodontal flap surgery-A randomized clinical trial. After obtaining thorough case history and written informed consent from the patients enrolled in the study (considering all inclusion and exclusion criteria) each patient would undergo the required periodontal flap surgery. After the surgical procedure, randomization and quadrant allotment for either Topical application of Argyreia speciosa gel or Triphala gel or Curcumin gel or non-eugenol periodontal dressing will be done. For periodontal dressing group, COE-PAK will be mixed and applied, according to manufacturer instructions. For Argyreia speciosa gel group, Triphala gel group and Curcumin gel group, the gels will be applied to respective quadrants immediately by the clinician and also will be given to the patient to apply as directed on the operated site twice daily for the next 7 days. Patients failing to comply with timely application of Argyreia speciosa gel, Triphala gel, Curcumin gel as instructed will be excluded from the study. After 1 week the pack and sutures will be removed by the same operator. Early Healing Score (EHS) after 1st and 2nd week and VAS after 1st and 2nd week will be recorded by second blinded operator. The time period between periodontal flap surgeries will be at least 3 weeks.
