Brief Summary
EFFECTIVENESS OF RESISTANCE TRAINING WITH TASK ORIENTED  TRAINING  AND RESISTANCE TRAINING ALONE IN REDUCING BRADYKINESIA  OF UPPER EXTREMITY  IN PARKINSON’S INDIVIDUALS
INTRODUCTION
Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease that is  caused by dopamine deficiency in the basal ganglia leading to movement disorder that is characterized by classical Parkinson’s motor  symptoms.
Parkinson’s disease is very common overall ,ranking second among age related degenerative brain diseases. incidence rate is 1.5 times higher at nearly 90,000 cases annually.
Most people diagnosed with Parkinson’s are age 50 years or older.  .The most characteristic motor symptoms  are Bradykinesia, Rigidity, tremor and postural instability.
Bradykinesia  is one of the cardinal symptom of Parkinson’s disease .Upto 98% of all people with Parkinson’s disease experience slowness of movement.
AIM
The study could focus on measuring changes in bradykinesia of upper limb .The goal is to determine which approach lead to more significant improvements in these Parkinson’s individuals-specific symptoms.

 OBJECTIVE
To compare the effectiveness of two intervention approaches - Resistance training  with  task oriented training and resistance training alone in reducing bradykinesia in upper extremity of Parkinson’s individuals.
METHODOLOGY
20 patients were divided into 2 groups  group 1 -task oriented training and resistance training   group 2 - resisted training alone training course will last for 6 Weeks, treated for 1 hour per session, thrice a week.
RESULTS
Statistical analysis will be done after data collection and conclusion will be drawn
