Brief Summary
Modification(s)
|
1. Individuals with Kapha Pradhana Prakriti demonstrated the highest Nerve Conduction Velocity, lowest latency and highest amplitude which may be attributed to the combined influence of Snigdha, Sthira, Slakshna, Sandra, and Pichila Guna. These qualities may support more effective myelination, stronger nerve fiber architecture, improved synaptic functioning, and smooth neurotransmission. 2. Those with Vata Pradhana Prakriti exhibited the lowest Conduction Velocity. The dominant Vata attributes Ruksha, Parusha, Visada, Khara, and Daruna may contribute to reduced insulation of nerve fibers, increased internal resistance, irregular fiber structure, and a tendency toward demyelination. As a result, Vata individuals also showed longer distal and proximal latencies in both sensory and motor components. 3. Individuals belonging to Pitta Pradhana Prakriti displayed conduction velocities that fell between Kapha and Vata types. This pattern may be due to the combined effects of Ishat Snigdha, Tikshna, Ushna, Sara, and Drava Guna of Pitta Dosha, which may offer moderate lubrication, promote efficient impulse transmission, and provide partial protection against demyelination. |
