Brief Summary

Today’s major issue of neck pain that interrupting the most of the population to performing their day-to-day activities needs an impactful and appropriate therapeutic intervention. Mobilization over the fixed segments could relieve the unnecessary restriction and allow the movement. For the purpose to be fulfilled Gong’s mobilization has shown the positive effects on the forward head posture and spondylotic symptoms through the application of Three point pressure principle. Whereas angular joint mobilization work over the principle of end range overpressure, which is a completely passive in nature and enhance the rotatory movement over the immobile segment. Till date there is no scientific researches on the effectiveness of the angular joint mobilization on cervical joint whereas Gong’s mobilization has shown significant effects on the cervical range of motion, pain and functions. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effectiveness of angular joint mobilization on improving cervical range of motion, correcting forward head posture and muscle activation, analysis through surface electromyography.
