Control Group |
The control group will be provided with plyometric push up training without loading weight on the same intensity and frequency of progression. |
| Intervention |
Loaded Plyometric Pushups |
Plyometric training can be combined with variable resistance, and weighted vests. There is much scientiï¬c evidence that dynamic strength training combined with elastic resistance is suitable for improving the strength performance of limbs in athletes. The most relevant feature of this training is the progressive increase in external resistance due to the instability of the band, which may induce a greater stimulus for strength adaptations and a greater neuromuscular demand, improving motor unit recruitment and rate coding. Another feature of elastic resistance is that, in addition to improving velocity, it increases the eccentric stimulus of training, which in turn increases the myoelectric activity of the relevant musculature.The intervention will be given for 5 times a week for 4 weeks. |

1. Volleyball players of 18-25 years.
2. The player must be playing at least for 2 years and must have participated at district level.
3. Uninjured at the commencement of study.
4. The participant should at least perform 10 pushups on firm surface ground.

1. Could not commit full participation in study training regimes.
2. Already engaged in plyometric training as this may confound the study.
3. Major injury at the time of commencement of study or within 6 months

Brief Summary

To study the effects of loaded plyometric pushups on upper limb explosive power, force generation and core strength in volleyball players.
Volleyball player should have strong upper limb and strength for proper power and force generation while playing the shots, if the force generation is low or the muscle strength is not enough there will be problem occur in the game as well as the impact on the player can cause pain and injuries which can further lead to stop the player from playing. |
