1.Subjects having the Classical Symptoms of Vishada. The symptoms have been present during the 2 week period continuously and represent a change from previous functioning; at least one of the symptoms is either (1) Depressive Mood (2) Loss of Interest or Pleasure
2.Subjects who are willing to sign the informed consent form
3.Subjects in the age group from 18-60years of either gender |

Brief Summary
|
This is a Clinical single group study of Siddartakadi Yoga in 30 patients diagnosed with Vishada/ Depression in the dose of 1TID with warm water as anupana for 30 days. The study will be conducted at Shri Dharmastala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda Hospital Kuthpady Udupi Karnataka India. The primary outcome will be assessed based on HAM-D (Hamilton Depression Rating Scale), WHOQOL ( Measuring Quality of Life/ The World Health Organization) score before and after the treatment using subjective and objective parameters. Hence an effort has been planned through this clinical study to prove the efficacy of Siddartakdi Yoga in Vishada w.s.r. to Depression. |
