Intervention  Emotional Intelligence Skill Training  In this study Emotional Intelligence Skill Training refers to training provided by the researcher. The researcher obtained Emotional Intelligence master Trainer Certification from Equip Kids India Pvt Limited, Pune and online certificate course in EI from MCON, Manipal University, MAHE. The Emotional Intelligence training module is prepared by the researcher and validated by experts from different disciplines. The module included 4 sessions (each session for 60 minutes) – Session I-introduction to emotional intelligence, Session II- EQ skills (self-awareness, managing emotions of others and self), Session III - EQ skills (Empathy, optimism), Session IV-EQ skills (Motivation and relationship skills)

Brief Summary  

Problem statement

           Effectiveness of Emotional Intelligence Skill Training on emotional intelligence, work life balance, empathy, self-efficacy and inter professional communication skills among Nursing Personnel working in selected primary, secondary and tertiary health care settings of Raipur district. 

 

Objectives of the study

The objectives of the study were to:

1.     To assess the emotional intelligence, work life balance, empathy, self-efficacy and inter professional communication skills among Nursing Personnel working in selected primary, secondary and tertiary health care settings of Raipur district. 

2.     To assess the effectiveness of Emotional Intelligence Skill Training on emotional intelligence, work life balance, empathy, self-efficacy and inter professional communication skills among Nursing Personnel in selected primary, secondary and tertiary health care settings of Raipur district. 

 

Hypothesis

The following hypotheses will be tested at 0.05 level of significance.

1.     H1: There is a significant difference between mean pre and post test scores of emotional intelligences, work life balance, empathy, self-efficacy and inter professional communication skills of Nursing Personnel working in selected primary, secondary and tertiary health care settings.
