This factor resultant as habit to adopting a faulty posture which acts as predisposing factors for many diseases and generate rigidity in joint area due to lesser involvement in their action. This also causes to diminish their work efficiency results as increase in anxiety. This type of vicious cycle is continuous going on without any awareness to individual. Thorough this present study, above said fact is going to address via survey plan to know a pattern of posture practices of college students during their academic program. For this study, neck region is going to focused as commonly their involvement in sitting posture which becomes change into faulty unknowingly and leads to a painful as well as shortening of the muscle of local region along with future manifested in compression of the cervical vertebrae and posterior bulging of thoracic spine area. Awareness towards standard postures according to one’s body need and maintaining them during work hours is needed. How much the bad posture affects the range of motion (ROM) in neck region, need to be studied to address the enhancement of their work efficiency on musculoskeletal level. For this purpose, collection of factors will be done those which act as causative factors forcing to adopt bad neck postures and leads to neck pain in their day-to-day life. RESEARCH QUESTION Which factors helps to manifest the neck pain by adopting faulty neck postures among students during their academic works and how much they affect the range of motion? AIM: To collect primary data from students regarding the factors which manifest neck pain as a resultant of adopting faulty neck postures. OBJECTIVE: 1)To assess the collected quantitative data under different subcategory like having either standard or faulty posture, with or without the incidence of neck pain, relieving and aggravating incidence, study posture and its duration, position of neck region joints in specific study posture. 2)To find out relation with the incidence of neck pain and affected ROM of neck region. 3)To determine collecting factors act as nidana which affects snayu avayava for restricted movements of neck pain. 4)To find applied aspect of snayu avayava in relation to range of motion. STATEMENT OF HYOTHESIS: NULL HYPOTHESIS [Ho]: Factors have no relation with neck pain and range of motion. ALTERNATIVE HYPOTHESIS [H1]: Factors have relation with neck pain and range of motion. MATERIALS AND METHODS: REVIEW OF LITERATURE: The available classic ayurvedic texts, research works, thesis regarding snayu and modern texts, research articles, journals about posture, neck pain, musculo skeleton diseases will be collected. STUDY DESIGN: | Site of study | Colleges in Jaipur Area | | Study type | Cohort, Observational | | No of groups | 2 (with and without prevalence of neck pain) | | Sample size | 160 | | Duration
