Brief Summary

The first three years of life are most important for language and speech development .consequently ,for  many infants and young children with unidentified hearing impairment  much of the crucial  period  for language and speech  development may be lost .Moderate to profound hearing loss  in early infancy has been shown to be associated with impaired  language  development ,as auditory stimuli during this period are critical to development of speech and language skills. This causes effect on reading abilities ,decreased scholastic performances. Hence to generate the local data at regional level.
