Details  Patients seeking treatment for tinea corporis
Patients who are having classical symptoms of single or multiple scaly annular lesions
with slightly raised, erythematous edge with central clearing in body.
Patients will be eligible if they had a Lesion Severity Score of atleast 5

, Presence of any other Skin diseases that may affect outcomes of study like
Contact Dermatitis, Nummular eczema

Brief Summary   Dermatophytosis is a fungal infection in the skin’s stratum corneum layer caused by species of three genera: Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton, and affecting 20–25% of the world population with varying geographic distribution. Tinea corporis is amost prominent infection in India (32.4%), Tinea corporis is a superficial dermatophyte infection of cornified layers of skin typically
appears as a single lesion or multiple scaly annular lesions with a slightly raised, erythematous edge with central clearing on the trunk, extremities and face. So, it is considered to evaluate the efficacy of Siddha Medicine Irunelli Karpam (Internal) and Kanthaga thailam (External) in treating Tinea corporis. The study is designed to assess  the improvement of the patient from severe to moderate, moderate to mild through Lesion Severity Score.
