Comparator Agent  Pectoralis block with only Ropivacaine.  20ml of 0.125% ropivacaine given bilaterally by pectoralis block before extubation in patients undergoing cardiac surgery.Block is given before shifting the patient out of operation theatre and pain scores recorded for 24hrs post extubation. 
Intervention  Pectoralis block with Ropivacaine -Dexmedetomidine  20ml of drug made with 0.125% ropivacaine and 1mcg/kg dexmedetomidine given before extubation on bilateral side in patients undergoing cardiac surgery.Block is given before shifting patient out od operation theatre and pain scores recorded for 24hrs post extubation.

ExclusionCriteria 
Details  Patients not giving consent.
Patients with history of allergy to study drugs(ropivacaine,dexmedetomidine).
Patients having abnormal coagulation profile
Pre operative haemodynamic instability.(Congestive heart failure ,uncontrolled AF).
Patients with moderate to severe PAH,LVEF less than 40%.

Brief Summary   Ultra sound guided pectoralis block is a novel technique used to relive pain in patients undergoing anterior chest wall surgery like cardiac surgery.Use of a local anaesthetic drug like ropivacaine along with dexmedetomidine may prove to be good fpr post operative pain in cases of cardiac surgery.
