Brief Summary
|
The selected (intervention and control) group will be approached after obtaining necessary permission from the respective authorities of the college and students. Prior appointment will be fixed for baseline data collection. The control group, after collecting baseline data, will be given a conventional health education on oral cancer through PowerPoint presentation. The participants are allowed to share their doubts after the presentation. The intervention group participants will be added to a WhatsApp group where they will receive health education on Oral cancer through WhatsApp text messages. The intervention group will receive a total of 42 messages i.e. 1 message per day at a fixed time of the day, where they will receive information on oral cancer for 6 weeks. Participants can share their doubts in the WhatsApp group. The same questionnaire will be provided to participants during the follow-up period for checking the retention of knowledge after the intervention. |
