Brief Summary

The dissertation aims to investigate the correlation between changes in bone mineral density (BMD) and Keshapatana (hair fall) in women, based on Ayurvedic principles. It emphasizes the importance of hair as a symbol of beauty and health in women, highlighting the psychological impacts of hair loss. Through a case control non-randomized study, the research seeks to validate the relationship between hair fall and Asthidhatu kshaya, a concept in Ayurveda indicating bone density depletion. By assessing hair fall grading and BMD scores in women aged 20-50, the study aims to analyze the correlation between these factors. The expected outcome includes establishing a significant correlation between BMD changes and Keshapatana, contributing to the validation of Ayurvedic principles. This research fills a gap in existing studies by focusing on the Ayurvedic perspective of hair loss and bone density.
