Brief Summary
|
Ayurveda is the holistic approach of medical science to Health and personalised medicine in which it has been mentioned that Asatmyindriyarth Sanyoga (improper contact of the senses with their objects and overstimulation) results in Atiyoga (overstimulation of sensory activity) as one of the main factor cause for causation of physical and mental diseases. The excess use of Neta (eyes) are very much prevalent among young Adults, Internet addiction is one such example of excessive use of Eyes and Mind . Taking the above concept in view, a cross-sectional study aiming at exploring the concept of Asatmyaindriyarth Sanyoga especially Atiyoga of Chakshu indriya (eyes) symptoms will be explored with special reference to internet addiction and its association with psychological factors like depression, Anxiety and stress as currently, there are no evidence based investigations done in previous studies related to this aspect in our texts. Therefore, we hypothesized that internet addiction will be associated positively with depression, anxiety, and stress. In the present study , 400 students will be evaluated for Nidanas (causative factors) and Lakshanas (symptoms) of Atiyoga (excessive use) of Chakshuindriya(eyes) and information about Internet addiction, Internet addiction test (IAT) Soring and study for association between Internet addiction and Psychological factors like Depression Anxiety and stress will be done with the help of DASS 42 Scoring. |
