Title : Effect of jump training programme on verical jump height and dynamic knee valgus on landing in young Gymnasts .
Background : This is a Quasi experimental study aims to investigate the impact of jump training on vertical jump height and dynamic knee valgus during landing among young gymnasts .
Method : 30 gymnasts both male and female , aged 6 to 13 years , will be recruited for this study . Participants will undergo jump training 3 times a week for 4 weeks . The training is designed to enhance lowerlimb strenght and stability , potentially improving performance and reducing the risk of injury during landing .
Measurements : Pre and Post intervention assessments will be conducted to measure changes in vertical jump height and degree of dynamic knee valgus . The vertical jump height will be measured using the’ chalk touch method ’ and Dynamic knee valgus will be measured using the ’Kinovea software ’. The metrics will provide insight into the efficacy of training programme.
Expected outcome :It is hypothesized that jump circuit training will lead to signinficant improvements in vertical jump height and a reduction in dynamic knee valgus , indicating enhanced athletic performance and lower limb control .
The study will adhere to ethical guidelines , ensuring informed consent , confidentiality , and the safety of all participants . |
